And Then There Was Flint… 💙

All of our current puppies have now been through their veterinary health checks and vaccinations, and almost all have found their families.
There is just one rather lovely little chap still waiting for the right home — Flint.
Destrier Forge Flint is a liver and white English Springer Spaniel puppy from Brontie and Harry’s litter, born on 13th July.
Flint is one of those puppies who has a really lovely balance to him. He has a genuine off switch — one minute he is calm, chilled and perfectly happy to settle, and the next he remembers that he is a Springer and out comes the cheeky, playful little character underneath.
He is also a very pretty boy. He has a beautiful liver and white coat, quite close-lying, flat and straight like his mum Brontie’s, with some rather fancy curls developing around his ears and coat. He really is growing into a handsome young Springer.
Today Flint passed his veterinary health check, had his first vaccination and was microchipped. He coped beautifully with the whole experience and is now ready to begin the next chapter of his life.
Today was also a lovely little milestone for the litter, as Flint was at the vets alongside his brother Vulcan. Both boys did brilliantly.
Vulcan already has a rather bigger adventure ahead of him, as he will eventually be travelling all the way to Zimbabwe to join his new family. The first of their littermates will also be heading off to their new home tomorrow.
So the litter is beginning to spread its wings.
And Flint?
He simply hasn’t found his people yet.
There is absolutely no rush from our side. We would always rather keep a puppy for a little longer and wait for the right home than place them simply because they are the last one available.
Flint has been home reared as part of our family and has grown up with the usual handling, household life, socialisation, early training and experiences that form such an important part of raising our Bluebell puppies.
So while his brothers and sister begin their next adventures — some a little further afield than others! — Flint is still here with us.
Waiting for the family who looks at him and thinks, “That’s our boy.” 💙🐾
