At Bluebell Springer Spaniels, I don’t simply rear a litter until the puppies are old enough to leave.

From birth, each puppy follows an age-appropriate programme of development, socialisation and early training. My aim is to give every puppy the strongest foundation I reasonably can before they join their new family.

I don’t promise a “perfect puppy”. Puppies are individuals, and moving into a new home is another important stage in their development.

What I offer is time, care, observation and professional experience invested in giving each puppy the best possible start.

A Thoughtful Start to Everyday Life​

My puppies are carefully introduced to normal household life, different environments, people, sounds, handling and new experiences without overwhelming them.

As they develop, I begin building the foundations of:

• Calmness and connection

• Confidence and independence

• Frustration tolerance

• The ability to switch off and settle

Through everyday life, they also begin learning to respond to their name, follow people, accept appropriate boundaries and feel comfortable being handled.

Their preparation includes travelling, settling indoors, spending age-appropriate periods apart from their littermates and beginning the transition towards crate and home routines.

Each Puppy Is an Individual

I observe my puppies closely throughout their development.

Their personalities, confidence, sensitivities and learning styles differ, so I adapt what I do to suit the individual puppy rather than treating an entire litter as though every puppy has the same needs.

Much of this work happens quietly in the background.

It isn’t about teaching an eight-week-old puppy to perform a list of tricks. It is about supporting emotional, behavioural and developmental foundations during one of the most important stages of their early life.

Foundations to Build On

When one of my puppies leaves, their education is not finished. It has only just begun.

Their new family will need to continue that work consistently as the puppy grows, settles into a different environment and learns a new routine.

But they are not starting from zero.

They are bringing home a puppy who has already received considerable care, preparation, observation and individual attention.

I don’t sell “pre-trained puppies”. I raise puppies with foundations.

What My Puppy Price Reflects

My puppy price reflects the breeding, health testing and veterinary care, rearing, developmental work, socialisation, early training, preparation and ongoing support involved in producing a Bluebell puppy.

I do not reduce the standard of care given to my puppies in order to compete on price.

Bluebell puppy prices are therefore fixed and non-negotiable.

Finding the Right Home

All prospective homes are asked to complete an application before a puppy can be reserved.

I do not simply sell puppies to the first person who enquires. My priority is to find suitable homes and, where possible, help match each puppy to the family and lifestyle that suit them best.

The right home matters more than the quickest sale.
