A heartfelt update on Skye

I wanted to share an honest update, as many of you have been kindly following Skye and her litter.
Sadly, despite round-the-clock care, close monitoring, and veterinary support, we have lost Skye’s puppies. The neonatal period can be heartbreakingly fragile, and sometimes, even when everything possible is done, outcomes are not what we hope for. This has been an incredibly difficult time.
Skye has been fully checked by the vet

and is physically well. However, it has become clear that she does not cope well with motherhood, and continuing would not be in her best interests or that of any future puppies. With her welfare always our priority, the kindest and most responsible decision is to retire Skye from breeding.
Once Skye’s milk has naturally dried up and she has fully recovered, she will be carefully and responsibly placed into a loving pet home where she can enjoy a calm, happy life as a much-loved companion.
Thank you for your kindness, patience, and understanding during such a sad time. Responsible breeding means making difficult decisions with welfare at the heart of everything we do.
